How to Deactivate MTN Do Not Disturbing Service

Okechukwu Solomon January 06, 2019 EDITEdit
MTN Do Not Disturb has been enabled automatically on majority of MTN lines. So, if you notice that you no longer receive sms OTPs, verification codes from some websites, job alerts, transaction notifications from your online payment gateways etc, then DND has probably been activated automatically on your MTN line.

If you want to continue to receive promotional messages you will have tomanually activate the DND service, then disable the MTN dnd even if your status shows that the service has already been enabled on your MTN line.

So, How?

Text STOP to 2442 on your MTN line.

This will manually stop you from receiving unsolicited text messages on your MTN line.

After you receive confirmation message that you’ve been placed on Full DND,

then text ALLOW to 2442.

You will then receive another sms that the do-not-disturb service has been successfully deactivated for your number.

This simply means, you can now expect solicited and unsolicited messages to continue to be delivered to your MTN line.
